In-Line Systems – Ultrasonic Bars

These industrial systems are designed to inspect bars of various diameters (rounds) or sides (squares). Depending on inspection requirements, UT conventional or phased array technology can be used.

Bars to be inspected are conveyed by a double heavy-duty pinch roller before being directed inside the immersion tank for inspection. On exiting the tank, the bar is conveyed by a single heavy-duty pinch roller to be returned to the production line conveyor.

These systems can be delivered with a complete water management system, including pumps, settling tank and filtration.

Systems are available on two basic automation platforms, Siemens or Allen Bradley.

• Current diameter range: 20 mm to 250 mm
• Minimum bar length: 3 m  (depending on inspection requirements and diameters)
• Inspection speed: 100 mm/s. to 2000 mm/s.
