Lifting and Tilting Clamps -  PPLC

The Mecnov Pneumatic Power Lifting Clamp combines high performance and efficiency with unusual ease of operation.  

After several years working with the wire & cable industry, Mecnov developed this machine with end-users in mind. This lifting clamp meets all safety, productivity, durability and low maintenance requirements.

Due to its versatility, it is well suited for heavy coil or reel handling applications. The squeeze pressure is adjustable for different types of loads.

The Pneumatic Power Lifting Clamp (PPLC) is easy to use. All movements are controlled by push buttons. Since the weight of the machine is well balanced, easy motion is ensured when the unit is pulled by its side handles.

The PPLC is safe as all movements are protected by industrial cut-out switches to safeguard both the operator and the unit. 

Safety was our first concern when designing the clamp and this is the reason for the following safety features:

• sufficient padding layer on the clamp to protect the material;
• an ACME screw squeeze axis that drives the two arms in opposite directions to perform the grasping feature.  In case of a power breakdown (air shortage, etc.), the clamp will always maintain squeeze pressure;
• a safety mechanism disables the OPEN command when the load is elevated;
• a docking station is included for safe out-of-the-way storage.

Option:

To address broader handling needs, the Pneumatic Power Lifting Clamp can be made to pneumatically tilt the reel or coil 90º.
